Thats no problem The Jon Venables issue is something i feel strongly about.

Most of those you will engage on the Venables thread are involved with education.
some are particularly clever others just thing they are.

Yeah its amazing how many people actually are of the mind-set that those boys (venables and thompson) got a raw deal! Its beyond me it really is. I feel like at the moment (after you left the convo) that im the only one who is outraged at how cushty those boys got it. It really effects me as i am the same age as the killers and i remember it all too well and how horrendous it was

I can understand your frustration. You can keep plugging away but it will serve no real purpose. You will find that most of them have a vested interest, working in education or social work of some kind. They are barking up the wrong tree and fail to see that rehabilitation to a what they see as normal can only be successful when normality is established and fully understood. We all need to be rehabilitated and normalised because we are all abnormal to a greater or lesser degree.

Im starting to wonder if joining was a good idea lol!! I never realised my inability to 'leave things alone'. Last night i told myself that i would not comment further on the jon venables conversation but having read a post in comment to my last one (last night) i felt compelled to write again! Its going to be a long day... lol!

When being as open as you are, make sure you are sincere in your beliefs, just have your say, make your point and be prepared to walk away if your involvement gives you no satisfaction.

Thank you I am thinkin of changing back my introduction but thought it might be abit too heavy initially! lol! I think i will change it though, its me isnt it, and no one can change that- God knows ive tried!

I'm glad the experience hasn't put you off of h2g2 totally. Topics that are as emotive that one always have the potential to upset people. I tend to steer clear of them as I tend to either put my foot in it or put so much thought into it I end up rambling off topic and confuse people. Hey ho!

Thanks for your message. No it hasnt put me off i like a good debate and always fight my corner lol! It takes alot to change my opinion of things but im sure there will come a point when i will step away and leave all the others to fight it out amongst themselves
