2 years. Laptops are allowed onboard, but unless you can get a phone signal you can't use the ships systems for internet access. However there is normally 1 or 2 desktops on board that are internet enabled, and if they are not being used, and it's outside the normal working day you can normally get on one for a bit.

Usually we just wait until we get into the next port and find an internet cafe.
