Hi Tal
I had to dash off earlier - kids came home, parents arrived
.... it's been that kind of day!! How's yours gone?? Is the liver feeling better now???

No probs, Muv Sounds flamin hectic there!
Things've been pretty relaxed here, a few household chores that couldn't be avoided any longer, lots of time online, and a little wander around the shops earlier, where I managed to get a ridiculously cheap deal on a perfume I like. Not bad going!

I'm thinking that home sounds best tonight - unless I hear last orders calling me later on! Feeling quite sleepy right now, but I don't think giving in to that would be the best idea - I'd probably sleep badly tonight

thrown in there for medicinal purposes as well
you back to work tomorrow?

funnily enuff, that's the formula I've been applying for the last couple of hours!!
You're right, keeping the mind and/or body active is the trick - being online is probably better than reading a book from the 'brain' aspect - books don't usually get offended if you nod off at them, so the temptation's still there!
Just liberated my laundry from the machine, so at least that's not going to fester if I give in to the snoozing against all efforts!

what you need is to watch something mindless on the tele ... that'll finish you off completely there's some snooker on tonight, that'd do the trick for me

that's not bad - at least you get a lie-in .... shift work?

I watch very little telly - in truth, I watch A very little telly with a 5 1/2 inch screen! I can't be bothered most of the time, so I just have a tiny black & white set and save more than half of the licence fee!
Anything I really like has to come out on DVD, then I can enjoy it on the pooter!

it is shift work, but not over 24 hours - earliest starts are about 8am, latest finishes around 8pm! I happen to be a bit of a nightowl, if not a , so I'm always happy to swap to the later shifts if someone wants my earlies (earlies are much more popular)
customer service/call-centre type thingummy, by the way.

well, you're not missing much ... we watch some tv but there's very little I'd actually bother taping ...
I've gotta go and fiddle with the tea now so I'll say cheerio and catch up with you later if you're still about

Hi there - our paths have just about overlapped before, I think, but the time difference is probably a factor! (One I know, 'cos a really good friend of mine left the UK for Toronto a few years back!)
I've been hootooing for about a month, I reckon, still very much doing the social thing So, how's life treating you today?
