THE CURSE..
Paganmoon - Crazy as Ever Started conversation Oct 16, 2004
The clock chimed midnight in the unlit hallway,
The old house was quiet and still
Save for the ticking of the clock,
The wind howled through the trees outside,
Blowing up to the old oak door
And whistling through the old brass lock...
In a room upstairs a candle burned,
Piercing the darkness with it's bright flame
And casting shadows upon the wall,
At the table in the centre
The old woman dressed in black sat huddled
Gazing intensely into her crystal ball...
She saw the vision of a young girl,
On her face an expression of fear
As she turned to run, run for her life,
Then the vision of a masked man,
Running and overtaking, stopping before the girl
The moonlight shining upon his knife...
She heard a scream, she saw the blood,
The girl fell to the ground
Hands held up to her face,
The masked man ran into the night,
His long black cloak flowing behind him
He disappeared without a trace...
The crystal clouded, she saw no more,
The old woman sat upright in her chair
Though her frame was frail and weak,
She raised her right hand towards her face,
Slowly with fingers trembling
She traced the scar across her cheek...
She muttered something in to the darkness,
Some kind of curse
Some kind of spell,
Far away in some darkened alley,
The old man clutched at his chest
And silently alone, the old man fell......
