No I was thinking more along the lines of winning the title of the most obsessed HHGG fan or something. You wanna see some of the looks I get when I quote. I mean the 10-seconders ask us if we could ever be normal for one minutte, so we ask them what is normal in a sort of ruler of the universe klind of way and they freak out, run off, then whisper to each other aboiut us behind our backs.

Ah, um, oops.

Four girls in our class. They wear make-up to school (which is against the rules until you're a sixth-former or something), their skirts are so goddamn short and they have heels on their shoes to make them taller than the empire state building. They think they're so cool and think everyone else isn't. THe walk like tarts, and flirt with a ll the boys. They're TWELVE FOR GOD'S SAKE!

So Zaphara named them the 10-seconders, because they have a ten-second attention span.

(Zaphara U37132, Jinx 38889, they're in the same class as me and we hang out and talk about HHGG and discworld 90% of the time. I mean yes, that's pathetic as well, but att least we dress properly.)

I mean, you should have seen them at the DISCO, or on non-uniform days...

I see what you mean. The 'pretty vacant' sort. It's very worrying to be like that at twelve. Still, I think Helena was saying she had her revenge on some of those types - they were married with thousands of kids by the time they were 20! And she's off round bits of the world!

I'm recovering from flu. But I'm happy cos I just been to the library and borrowed the Discwrold Companion - it's not in the bookshops round here ... It's really amazing. It's so amazing, I think I'd like to steal it!!

Today we had a games lesson - hockey - and we got put on the 10-seconders' team, oh joy. They're so self-centered. They never passed to anyone apart from each other and therefore Jinx, Sarah, ZB and me got yelled at for not taking part.

I would really LOVE to see them suffer some day

And I have written all over my maths book "hell is a maths room" and I hope the teacher notices. She's called Mrs Burns and the first thing she said when we first saw her was "excellent". Must be a coincidece. MUST be.
