Hi, I'd be happy to write something - but surely you don't mean to write something about *everything* on that list? smiley - yikes

This A53660595 is the Staffordshire one that Bob Stafford and I co-wrote ( it was a Flea Market rescue) with a few collaborative bits from a few other authors. It took ages getting it through PR and I felt it was a bit like a list in the end, and I think I remember Bob saying it was over 7000 words. The Writing-Guidelines state

>>>
Write Entries of Appropriate Length
We are not necessarily looking for long entries, just well-researched, well-balanced, well-written ones. Researchers are much more likely to read entries and comment on them if it's possible to read them in one sitting. As a general guide:

It's usually difficult to adequately cover a topic in less than 250 words.
If your entry is getting a bit lengthy (1,200 words or more), you might consider splitting it into smaller sub-topics or a series of entries.<<<

Anyway, the offer is there should you wish to take me up on it - I live just across the border, in the Staffordshire Moorlands, so I do know the nearby parts quite well.

sorry Kipper, not enough caffeine in my brain cells yet. I meant, in Derbyshire. I only know first hand the bits towards the Peak District, ie Buxton, Ashbourne, Bakewell etc. I wondered whether which bits you knew best.

I could possibly give you a hand with this, Kipper. I know a fair few places round those parts (mainly stone circles and burial mounds)
