how did you manage to break windows vista ? .....just out of curiosity

I ran a registry cleaner and it deleted a registry key that I thought I needed. It stopped windows defender running (not a big loss). I used the recovery discs that I had to make to repair it but they just screwed it up! In my opinion Vista isn't that great, windows 7 is an improvement but it is by no means perfect.

never tried Vista ...i am still running XP.gonna be gettin new system soon, altho dunno wether to get a new PC or try a Mac.

Macs are expensive and don't run many games. Windows is widely used on computers so more stuff works wih it but it's not the only option.
Do you play a lot of games? If you can avoid Vista completely and upgrade your coy of xp to windows 7 (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/scienceandtechnology/technology/microsoft/4163510/Microsoft-Windows-7-in-depth-review-CES-2009.html), which is out October 22 And Linux tops them all!

i mainly play games on the xbox360 ,cos my PC is pretty low spec. I was under the impression that Macs are less prone to virus's. That was the only reason for wanting switchin from PC... As you can probably tell I kno very little bout PC's lol

Yeah macs are lees prone to viruses because they're UNIX based

So you're the opposite to me then, I prefer computers to consoles!

what games are you playin at the moment ?

If you're worried about viruses, and don't want to play games on your computer, linux is certainly cheaper than buying a mac. The only thing I miss on linux is MS word.

I tend to play games online, from a couple of different sites.

Mind you OpenOffice is an amazing stand-in for Word and its far easier to use now that wWord has those stupid ribbon things.

Games I'm plaiying at the minute? Morrowind, best roleplaying games I've played yet and the mods for it make it so much better!
