the drug Lucentis for AMD sufferers not allowed by NHS

A large percentage of Brits suffer, or will suffer from Macular |Degenration which causes partial or complete blindness. This is therefore a drain on social services. A new drug has been discovered Lucentis which can help some sufferers yet the NHS refuses to prescribe it You can getit privately of course but this prevents poor people from taking advantage of a possible cure. This is not a very amusing subjecvt I know but many quite young people are already showing early signs of the disease which is on the increase. Sunlight has a lot to do with it so maybe the increase in people with the disease has something to do with global warning. It seems disgraceful to me that a good drug is being refused to people unless they can afford to pay for it.
