Link Wray dead.

Link Wray died yesterday at age 76. An inspiration to countless and the god-father of the power chord, rock as we know it today would not exist without his contributions. One of the first to ever be banned from FM radio, let alone for an instrumental, Link's "Rumble" brought the new brand of music dubbed rock and roll to the audience which was waiting with both eager and baited breathes. His numerous television themes brought him to an even larger audience.
It's a sad day. Some of my favorite bands are based around the ideologies that he brought to the table. He was amazing to watch live. He was especially important to the "British invasion" (I suppose local bands for most of you folks ). What a player.
Rest in peace.
