Greetings!
I'm a bit embarrassed to admit I am an American, seeing how most people in my country are rude idiots, so it only makes sense that I seem to have found a civilized group of people through the BBC.
I'm a 24-year-old married mom to a 5-month-old son. I am a cleaning lady and my husband does apartment (flat?) maintenance. (Sorry, I'm kind of new at speaking English English rather than American English).
Anyway, I am glad to have found you all, and I look forward to discussing Life, The Universe, and Everything with you!
Anna

I hear what you say Wolfie. I've found Americans online to be pleasant.

Hehe - I said "most" - Let's just say American message boards aren't the most pleasant places to be! LOL. Again, I'm glad I've found this!

Hi fundamentallyflawed! Welcome to h2g2. I'm from Ireland.
You can change your nickname by which we know you at any time with the "My Preferences" link at the left side of your screen. I think "fundamentallyflawed" is a bit defeatist myself; you should go for something upbeat and self-asserting.

If you do choose to vote, make sure you vote for Hypatia.
Remember: a vote for Hypatia is a vote for rock cakes.

'I am not chatting anybody up, actually, I am a happily married man thank you.'
All I am doing is being friendly, sadly some people can't see that and think I have a hidden adgenda but that is the farthest from the truth as anything could be.
Anyone heard of a platonic male / female friendship?
