what is prom? like the dance/ball thingy? never went to mine to be honest.

I went to eight dances total during high school. can't answer a single question about a specific one, since they all run together. Pretty much consists of high schoolers dressing up in billion dollar dresses and tuxes, to rent a limo to drive them down the street to the restaurant that costs them half the cost of their dress and still tastes like the hamburgers from McDonald's. Then they get to the actual dance late, and proceed to spend the time in the big room decorated in streamers and balloons that match school colors dancing, or standing against the wall, depending on how much they care about the other people's opinions that are present. Bad pictures will be taken at the end of a long line of painted people, and most of the boys will remove most of their clothes in a matter of minutes in an effort to make their s******c dancing to rap music more freely. After the prom, half the people will go to small parties and play board games all night (or in my place, roleplay). One-fourth of the people will go home to appease their parents, and the remaining people will try to convince their date to stay at the hotel for the night. So depending on how much you like tedious nights where you can't wear pants and dealing with the traumas of all the girls that spend the entire prom in the bathroom, prom can be considered very good, or very boring.

Oh, great. You're giving me a LOT of confidence here, Hannar. Personally, I'm going because I'm too nice to say no to this guy. And it's bugging me because 1)I hate dresses 2) I hate doing my hair 3) I hate make-up 4) I can't and don't like to dance and 5) my boyfriend's in Texas. ::sigh:: At least we're going to a cheap , yummy oriental place for dinner!!!
