Just a thought when the consortium buys h2g2 does it also buy the smiley collection.
I remember a few times someone got bent out of shape noticing others using smileys outside the bbc that were under the h2g2 copyright.

The galaxy 
smiley is actually mine - although wholly uncredited at the time it was turned into an official smiley (from the original table pixel art version). I know about a few others and do have some (incomplete) records about who did which blobs.
