We are, yep. I think it was the Verger you asked about, but you can use anything else I've put on hootoo for the compilation jobby.

Cool. Thanks again.
There's a distinctly Hibernian slant to the collection, which is interesting.

As a question of style, would you prefer the images with or without a border already built in?
Smileys
Malabarista - now with added pony Posted Apr 7, 2011
And did you want the vergering ones in a lighter shade?
Smileys
Mrs Zen Posted Apr 7, 2011
Without, I think. I can add one or put them in a box or not at all.
I think the verger does need to be lighter. Could you send him to me in several shades - 100% black, and then say 60% and 40% and I'll try him out at 100% in the first proof copy, and at 60% in the second if 100% doesn't work.

is it enough to send one sample of each, or do you want them all in each version?
40% will be far too light, though.

I don't understand the question, and I will take your advice on anything to do with graphics.

Ok, sorry, that was written late at night
Is it enough to send you the first Vergering image in three different shades of grey, let you pick one, and then send the rest in that shade, or did you want three different versions of each image?

Mrs Zen Posted Apr 8, 2011
Oh. Not sure. I could do a proof copy with them all in black and see if it works and if it does we're peachy, or I could do a proof copy with each picture a different shade and see which one works the best. That would then mean I'd have to "throw away" that copy, but it would be better in the long-run.
How many vergers are there? 5. Give me the A in black and one of the vergers in black, and two each in .... 75%? and 50%? It'll look odd in my copy, but - hey - that's what proofs are for.

I can give you 5 different ones - a gradual fade might look less odd!
If you know the weight of paper they use, we can try running off a few sample pages on a normal printer, just to give us some idea.

Slight change of plan... could you send me the verger in three weights, and I'll get three proofs done, one @ each weight. That way they'll all be usable.
Sorry to dither and move the goalposts like that.

I was just preparing a page to run off on the printer here, with 5 different ones; I'll pick the best ones from that.

Okeydoke. Just let me finish my salad and I'll get right on it. Haven't coloured the inukshuk one, but all the others are done.

Well, we can only print in black and white..... (Tell me I told you that... please tell me I told you that....).
By the way, when you email, include your RL name, I want to credit you with prepping the images and Amy with getting the author permissions.

Yes. I meant "shaded" - it's just line art, so far.
As you like, but I'm equally happy just having my hootoo name used.
My internet connection is being really choppy again. I'll have to send them individually, or perhaps go use the office computer. Or wait for the tide to go out
