Which photo is best - what do you think?

Post 1

Mrs Zen

I need to give the estate agents a couple of photos of the view from the house. Here are the best of the ones I've got. I'll take some more tomorrow since it will be sunny and upload them when I'm done.

In the meantime - which two or three of these would you choose?

Add comments to the pics, or post comments here.

Cheers

Ben

You're selling your house?smiley - yikes
Did you give first refusal to 3dots? I seem to recall him falling in love with it. Perhaps you have and my head is in the clouds, if so, please ignore.

I'd buy it if I had the smiley - 2cents

Titania (gone for lunch)

Photo no. 1 gets my vote, for the lush greenness. It's certainly a view that would attract me.

We're moving to Edinburgh, GB, and I don't want the costs and complexities of renting it out because it's not very likely we'll come back to West Yorks. Lancs, maybe, but not West Yorks.

I think we are too far from 3dots for him to want it, but if he does then all he has to do is say.

I like that one too Titania, I'm surprised and rather peeved it's the only full summer one that I've got.

I like all of them. But I think if you can only show one, then #1 would be my choice. It's a fabulous view.

Yep, I agree with the others -#1 You want people looking at it to think of lush greenness and beautiful summers rather than freezing isolation in the depths of winter - even if your cottage is cosy looking at picture of snow and ice will make people *think* it is cold.

I like the winter view in #3. How well it would sell a house though...

Number 1 is very... Middle Earth.

House selling--1 or 7

Me personally--3 or 10 (unless they're the same picsmiley - erm)

I wouldn't suggest snow pics for house selling in general unless you lived somewhere renowned for smiley - ski or something like that. (Unless you get to choose more than one pic, and even then it would be iffy...)

smiley - eureka Could you do a montage of seasons? A square of 4 pics?

That's a good idea Amy, and I may work towards that.

In the meantime, #1 is a clear winner, I also went with 4 - not too much leylandii hedge, and a blue sky not a white one. Hopefully I can get some better pics over the next few weeks.

What the responses here and on Facebook have told me is that most of the photos are liked by some people, but apart from #1 none of them is liked by everybody.

Thanks again smiley - smiley

You can call me TC

I'd say No 1, although No 9 gives a better idea of the miles and miles of view you have available.

They are all pretty good, Ben. Given the presence that you have given your pretty cottage on the net, it is a wonder that it is not sold already.

I think all that is missing is:
Number of bedrooms
First part of postcode
asking price

Surely, if you post them as well, there is a good chance that you will not need an agent at all.

I'd love to think that was true!

Fingers crossed eh?
