ARIZONA? HELLO?
Irving Washington - Gone Writing Started conversation Feb 16, 2000
I seriously doubt that I'll garner a huge response here, but I'm wondering if anyone from the State of Arizona would like to plan a bit of a get together at any point? I'm in Tucson during the school year, but I go home to Phoenix occasionally, So, really, anywhere in the lower half of the state is just fine with me! Is there intelligent life in Arizona?

Remeber when I told you that the "'Zonie" nickname came from California? It's right next to Arizona to the West, and therefore has a coast, while we don't. That's why she thinks we come over to steal her beaches

ARIZONA? HELLO?

Hmm... well see, Arizona is the state just east of Southern California, where I am. It's kinda hot there, and the desert is very pretty in that dunish kinda way, but everyone insists on wearing long sleeves and jeans, anyhow. And in the summer they all come to the coast, Ellay and San Diego! All of them!

There's another Zonie around??? Where!?!?!! And for the record, I rarely go to California in the Summer. I *did* go to San Francisco this winter, but that's *northern* California, and it was Cooooold!

Yeah, yeah, every place is cold to you guys! I wasn't really picking on another Zonie, I was getting breakfast. But I'll keep my eye out for ya. And Joanna - be glad you're not one. be very, very glad.
I'm just kidding Irving. *Anyone* with an h2g2 name like Irving Washington is exempt from regional slurs.

LOL Thanks very much, Fenny! I identify with the state itself, but not the people in it...
BTW -- I spend my summers in Greer, Arizona, where I once saw snow in July and people keep fires in their fireplaces year round. So I do know what cold is!
~Irving
PS -- I'm now going to go do something that every good Zonie should. I'm going to cross the street and eat at the 24hr taco shop.

Put it this way.... Durham doesn't do 24 hour taco stores. Neither does Manchester. Nor, in fact, does anywhere else I've ever been...
