I've just booked a flight to go back to Australia for a visit to say farewell to my friends who I left in such a rush. I'm looking forward to it.

That's very true, Icy. I have asked people down there what they have saved of my belongings. I may be taking an empty case with me so that I can bring stuff back!

There's nothing that spooks the customs men more than when you take an empty case through. X-ray machines recalibrate themselves. Sniffer dogs run around in circles.

Lions and Wallabies!!!
First two weeks here it rained every day - well it is winter after all.
Now it's quite sunny, but I hear it is warm in the UK. Away from the sun it gets pretty cool.
Just for anyone who watches Neighbours, Home and Away etc. there IS a winter in Australia and in Canberra it has been -3C at night.

I fly back today... well it's after midnight and I haven't gone to bed yet, but plenty of time to sleep on the plane. Short stop at Abu Dhabi and then back to sunny Heathrow. It is sunny isn't it?
