Once again I have been working hard on the holding and sorting out stuff, which has become a right pain, the school we started up has been working well and is rather full to the brim with nippers. So with that in mind to get a call from some local authority official asking if we could take some more nippers, was not a surprise but the response when we said we could'ent take anymore was!
She was quiet nasty about it, one hopes she will reflect upon this, also I could smell the tweed and sensible shoes ouzing out of the phone. I would like to say here and now for the record if we could have taken more nippers we would have done so but alas we could not, "their" rules not ours.
My stump has been quiet the annoyance too, as the skin on it is still quiet soft the cold weather has seemed to have opened up one or two or five, what seems to be like "paper cuts" which are very bleeding sore, also unable to heal up quickly they have been the bain of my life!
I have 3 new calfs and 7 new piglets, last years harvest was very good so on the food front no worries there but i need to find a way to be able to get up a ladder, might have to make a sort of a foot/hook for my peg so enabling me to do so, my rebuilt tractor is earning its keep which is also nice!
