Thanks lil. I've tried Marmite. Coely sent me some. And some Bovril. But I had no idea how it was made.

The Hyp has the mother of all colds and is miserable. She is also out of cold meds and so must get dressed and over to the pharmacy post haste. I like the ones that make you comatose for several hours after you take them.

i always use a nice cold remedy called whisky and ginger
gently warm the whisky in a glass (a glass placed in warm water and then add the whisky)
at this point thinly slice a piece of ginger, about 50mm in length by the thickness of the ginger! by about2mm thick
or use ginger wine!
add to whiskey,
this is the important bit
WAIT! till warm
this allows you to get your blanket ready and the sofa and the fire all ready and your newspaper (large)
and then with get your whiskey GET COMPHY! and then relax with your newspaper (large)
