h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I'm not the northern, scrubbish type of German, that should place this posting, but I've seen some, and the most impressiv is the beach at St. Peter Ording, which is at the North-Sea side. A huge beach of a vast expansion. You walk a wile till you actually see the water. Every now and then little huts on stilts appear which contain restaurants and restrooms. Typically the beach is crowded by kites and other toys in the air. My brazilian wife could not imagine why people would enter the cold water, but admitted, that seldom she had seen a beach like this one.
