Dear h2g2 editors,
I accept the challenge to write an entry on Hinduism. 
I am a Hindu, born and brought up in Bharat(India) as such. I have studied and practised Sanatana Dharma all my life in Bharat as in the UK. Therefore, I have some personal knowledge and experience of how Sanatana Dharma is practised both here and in Bharat. 
I must state at the outset that Hinduism is a misnomer, having been coined by non-Hindus. It is in common use and that is the ONLY justification for its continued use. A far better term which is freely accepted by Hindus is Sanatana Dharma. 
Therefore the title should include the term Sanatana Dharma, possibly together with the incorrect term Hinduism, to enable ready recognition.
I look forward to your response.
