Gary was a familiar face around Medway in the 80's and 90's and I had the pleasure of knowing this gentle giant.
I will never forget the first time we met. It was in a club in Gillingham and I had my right hand strapped up and he asked me what had happened so I explained, after which he jokingly said that he wouldn't want to be on the end of my right hook, This from a great boxing champ. Our paths crossed every now and then and he always said hello and had a brief chat.He was always polite and friendly and had an infectious laugh.
A good, kind and gentle friend who will be sadly missed by all those who new him.
He will never be forgotten.

Alot of people round about Medway knew him. He owned a Jewellers on Gillingham high Street. He also used to frequent a few clubs round about. He made friends wherever he went.
He was a well liked guy and will sadly be missed by loads of people locally. Our local paper had a double page spread on him and I expect there will be more tributes and so on to come over the next few day's/weeks.
I heard about Gerry's death too, he was a good musician but not one I would listen too that much, not my type of music.
Well thats two, I wonder who the third will be?
