Re-read the last chapter of Book 5 of the Trilogy of "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy." It'll make sense if you 'supplant' this text versus the last two pages.
It was my intention to extend and expand the lives of the original characters, developing them into further adventures, perhaps additinal books.
Eion Colfer beat me to the punch. He got permission from Douglas Adams family and lawyers. I do not have that 'green light'.
