Hello Stuntman and welcome to Peer Review, Are you also fairly new to h2g2 as well? If so welcome generally.

The article is interesting - I have never heard about this place and found it fascinating. I am sure that it can be edited a bit so that it gets to the standard required for an Edited Guide Entry.

I think it is not made terribly clear on the Writing Guideline help pages that the Edited Guide Entries are featured via a link on the BBC homepage, to the Front Page of the h2g2 once they are 'published' Therefore the standards have to be very high and any facts quoted have to be backed up etc. So, you may find that you have some fairly rigorous questions here. But they will be made in good faith to help this article make its debut.

This page is terribly useful for a new writer to the Guide:

I notice that one of the links at the bottom of your article goes to a foreign language site (german? - I don't speak it) I believe h2g2 has to be all in English.

Try this link

whilst you are in Peer Review have a look at a cross section of the other entries and their conversations so you get to feel the ropes. Dont be dismayed smiley - dontpanic This place needs new contributors smiley - smiley

Has it always been like this or is this a new thing to happen so much?

I believe it's to do with what seems to have been a group of English students, who don't understand how PR works and aren't coming back to check on their Entries.

It usually doesn't happen in this kind of concentration.

MMF - Keeper of Mustelids, with added P.M.A., is now in a relationship.

I had this added to the 'United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland entry (A2027008) but this is more in depth. A link maybe?

MMF - Keeper of Mustelids, with added P.M.A., is now in a relationship.

Shame, as the story is quite powerful, and poignant, in UK politics...

I wish I had the time to expand it, but with 40+ entries already in the pipeline???

But??? smiley - erm

Good starting point! smiley - eureka

smiley - laugh I'm sure it'll find a taker if it ends up in FM.

I'd been considering doing an Entry on several of these, but a bit less detailed - including things like Kugelmugel in Austria.

It would a shame to lose this. I'm sure it doesn't need much work on it, mainly in the second half possibly?

I think its a shame too as this is an interesting subject. - but I'm feeling that this rash of english language students were set a project to post an article and also to comment on each other's work. I don't think that any of them had the thought to get their article edited. I hope I'm wrong, but none of them have replied to any of the posts I made, so I feel my time was being spent doing a pointless activity.

If any of those students are reading this - please tell me I'm wrong smiley - smiley honestly! I would love to hear back?

There doesn't seem to be too much to be done on this.

No, I was merely saying that that's where the sudden increase in abandoned Entries comes from.

I liked your work, it was highly informative. Though, I would have been interested in the BBC boadcaster's life an in his ideology behind him overtaking the island.
Maybe you could add some of it to your article
