Not as good as my dad, being a typical man dad thought he could fix anything, so he decided to fix a 'plummed in electrical cooker fitting' straighten it up. I came home from work to see my dad going out in the car, I got in to find bits of this plug thing all over the kitchen table, my first thought was 'mum's gonna kill him' cos he'd turned the fuse box off, he came home I asked him what he was doing, he told me and I said 'it's ok dad Mike (my ex) will be here soon he can fix it, dad went purple and said he didn't need any 
ing help, mum came home and went mad, Mike fixed dad's mess and mum had the strop with dad for a week

Oh dear.... 
Mum once had an oil fire and it took us two weeks of intensive scrubbing to get black burned oil of the walls and ceiling of half the house.
