h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

The ancient temple was built by the original Sith race. Within it lies the oldest of the Sith Holocrons and several other artifacts of great power.

*Lord Niax enters the outermost cloister of the temple.*

*Niax walks causiously through the outer cloister towards the inner cloister. Niax slowly enters the inner cloister, wary for booby traps. Niax quitely slides a lightsaber into each shoulder and knee socket, flexes them experimentally, and enters the inner cloister. the room was immense, and there were already several dark side creatures approaching him, ready to feed. Niax activates his lightsabers and starts running towards the door, slashing any appendage that comes close to him. Niax suddenly leaps to the left, barely avoiding a collapsing floor section.*

*Niax runs forward towards the Cloister exit, slashing appendages, and jumping over collapsing floors and other booby traps. Niax gets to the door and puts his palm on the reader pad. Suddenly all the animals stop chasing him and wander off in a dazed state. A section of the floor spirals open. A large droid (bout 3 meters tall in fact) launches itself out of the hole by using repulsor packs. Niax deactivates his shoulder and knee blades and descides to face this enemy with just his hand held lightsabers. The droid flies about the room on its repulsors, firing blasters and rockets at Niax. Niax deflects the blaster bolts into the rockets or towards the droid.*

*After several minutes of this the droid runs out of rockets and lowers to floating half a meter from the ground. Faster than sound it flies at Niax with vibroblades protruding from its wrists The droid rushes past Niax in a failed slash, or rather, half of it does. The legs just clatter to the ground, throwing sparks and leaking hydrolic fluid from where they got cut from Niax's lightsabers. The top half of the droid spins around and flares its engines, firing blasters on the way to Niax, intending to either blow holes in him, or cut him in two.*

*The blasts deflected from Niax's blades disipate harmlessly on the armor of the droid, but its vibroblades and neck don't survive the lightsabers.

*The door further into the sith temple creak ponderously open. Niax enters slowly, carefully. He looks around the room and extends himself through the Force to search for any dangers. He finds none and begins walking forward. He crosses the ante-chamber to an open sided turbo-lift. He gets in and presses one of the two buttons. The lift begins to descend*

*As Niax rides the open lift down the chasm seveal winged monstrocities attack him by lashing out with teeth, fangs and tails. Niax cuts all the heads, arms, legs, and tails that get in range. After about 5 minutes the lift finally reaches ground level. Niax steps out of the lift and walks towards the only exit from the anti-chamber, fending off attacks from animals as he does*

*He enters the room from the anti-chamber. Suddenly, he can no longer move and the door mere centimeters behind him slams shut. The room is pitch black except for a dull glow from the other side of the room (which is rather big). The glow seems to be getting brighter, or perhaps getting closer.*

[Niax] What is this now?

*A voice booms from all over the room.*

[Voice] This is your final test

[Niax] Then get on with it

*A blast of lightining flies out from the cieling and strikes Niax in the head. It hurts, alot, and it also confuses him.

[Niax] What kind of test is this?!

[Voice] (in ancient Sithic) the final one

[Niax] what's the point of it?

[Voice] (in ancient Sithic) to survive!

*The lightning lashes out again, and again, and again. The first two hit Niax and hurt him alot, but it also makes Niax really mad. He draws on the Force heavily, no longer in control of himself Niax absorbs the last blast of lightning, it is difficult to do, but the closest he has ever come to death is here, and that kind of thing can have incredible effects on a man. Niax redirects the lightning at the lightning generator in the cieling. The generator's shield deflects the blast, but shorts out in the process. The generator charges and fires a constant stream of electrons at Niax. Niax begins to absorb the stream, the new energy in Niax expands his Force senses, he can detect the repulsors that are holding him in place. He throws Force enhanced lighting at them, melting them and he directs the rest of the lightning at the generator, destroying it*

[Voice] (in ancient Sithic) That is saticfactory

*Niax strides forward to the dull glow. It is a pedestal upon which is a small black pyramid with glowing gold figures on it. It is a holocron, and although he cannot read it, Niax understands its importance from the energy radiating from it. He picks it up, puts it in a pocket in his inner robes and leaves.

*he gets back to the lift through the anti-chamber, rides up to the inner cloister, and exits from the outer cloister*

*Nearing the exit Niax senses a strong tremor in the force. Upon reaching the exit he finds the dark figure of Skullock waiting for him.*

*Niax motions Skullock to follow to the streets*

I know, I'm gone already, but bear with me

*The two jedi figures emerge from the sewers of thule and walk into the common halls of the Sith Temple.*


~~~Now be very cautious...these sith can be trisky...~~~


*Craxus looks and walks across the temples common room. He finds the quarters in the temple and enters a dusty room where it takes the door 30 seconds to open because it has rusted a bit, and Craxus had to use the force to open it.*


~~~Well, heres my room....Oh crap that shouldn't be out.~~~


*Craxus quickly runs and picks up some of the clothes on the floor. He rumages through some of the drawers and finds a datapad avaible to download vast amounts of information.*


~~~See anything else we need?~~~

~~~Not that I know of, if there's anything here that's of...........sentimental value you want just say so~~~

*Craxus does a quick scan of the room.*

~~~Well if i missed anything we can come back maybe ~~~

*SO time went on, and they roamed the halls look for a computer terminal to download the information.*

*They found a room seculded from the main entry hall.*

~~~Co'bal, stand guard while I download this information.~~~

*Craxus stick the datapad in, and watches as Co'bal turns and keeps watch.*

*Niax fills the coridor in front of Co'bal and Craxus, his blades casting eirie red light*

~~Cowards! It's time to die!~~

*Niax swing one blade at the closest of the pair, this being Craxus. The blades flash as one rapidly approaches Craxus's head and the other stabs towards his gut*

*And the lightsabre blades don't hit a single thing. For they are hiding in a room not in the main hall. Not in the opening. Not stupid enough to say hello.*

*Craxus turns to Co'bal.*


~~~I sense Niax is trying to find us. Although its amazing the time it took us to get here, and he got here in about 2minutes...amazing....Download is almost complete. Keep masking our scents...Then we can get the heck out of here.~~~

*Niax detects Craxus and Co'bal and finds their room. Niax looms in the doorway and sends a burst of eletricity through the Force into the datapad, with the intent of frying the circuits*

~~Fight me coward~~

*Craxus turns to Co'bal..*


~~~Finished...Let's get the heck out of here.~~~
