To me 
Friday the 13th
has never held any special meaning.... But this year I'm going out with an old friend
I haven't seen her since I graduated from high school. It should be lovely to see her again! She was always the fun crazy one, not caring what anyone thought of her, and singing show tunes to her hearts content. Tomorrow night we'll be going to see a screening of Nosferatu
with the music played live by our local 
symphony orchestra. In honor of it being a vampire movie and its being Friday the 13th I feel I should wear my black silkey cape.... But I haven't decided if I should or not.
I will be so nice to get out, have some fun, and seen an old friend. Mid-term exams are so stressful and so much work! Also I don't know if I wrote any kind of conclusion to my situation at work..... The company I worked for went bankrupt so I lost my job. It could be worse though
I got a lovely letter of reference out of it and I made some lovely friends while I was there

I did wear the cape, it was tons of fun! The show was wonderful and the live orchestra really added to it.
Quite a few people were dressed up for the show, apparently its some sort of a tradition that goes along with the showing of the movie. The first ever showing of Nosferatu had a masquerade ball after it so I think that may be where it came from.
As my friend and I walked back to the car it was all dark and moonlit and foggy. I felt like I really fit in with the cape.

Friday 13th October was my birthday. Colleen and I went to a fantastic restaurant, had a good meal. A guitarist arrived at 930 and began to entertain. So we had a really good night. August the 13 is also Colleen's birthday so the 13th has no fear for either of us. It is a lucky number as that is when we were both born

I was told the story that the Knights Templers were in France centuries ago, and the King was broke. He thought the knights had money so rounded them up, tortured them, and killed them. They had no money. This took place on Friday 13th October.
There is a second story that there were 13 at the last supper.

Awww kitty...
My cat curled up with me while I read my textbook today. And yesterday she fell asleep on me while I was having a nap. It was quite lovely.
