How interesting. I would suggest that most people on this site who expressed a preference think you're an irritating twat.

They accept that I'm an annoying twat and join in by insulting me in a comical fashion.

GB,
If footbacon had in any way hinted that the story she wrote was intended as a joke, perhaps all of us might be rolling around laughing by now. Perhaps in a jokey thread we would insult you in a comical fashion too. This is not a joke thread.
Everyone but you realised that this was a serious case of her brother being badly hurt, and herself being upset by the bad wounds.
Please just apologise to footbacon for joking where it was not fit, and make sure the next time you reply like this, that the thread or the topic is indeed meant to be a joke.

I did apologise already.
And I will make jokes where I see fit to make jokes and I will not have my joke making policy dictated by you.

Me grow up? You are the ones that can't accept my jokes. This is policital correctness of the worst sort, by people who constantly complain about political correctness.

Yes it is. You complain about a joke because you found it offensive and said that it was insensitive and mean. I said it was a joke and not meant to be serious. Then Milla starts to tell me when and where I can make jokes. That is political correctness, which I find ironic as I've seen a lot of you conplaining about PC in the past.

If you don't know the difference between genuine sensitivity to others and "policital correctness of the worst sort", you really should keep your mouth shut.

No, it's of the worst sort because you all claim to be anti-PC, not because of any other reason.
And for the record, I'm not anti-PC in any way. I see some of its flaws, and some of its merits.

GodBen, you're an idiot. A sentiment shared by a lot of hootooers, not just the people on this thread.
FB, I hope your brother is okay. Does he know who they were?

Making personal insults doesn't help your cause.
This whole thing reminds me of an interesting story. Many years ago in school, there was a group of about eight of us that used to hang out. One day I was talking to someone and we were joking about eating babies, which we found very funny. Another guy in the group heard us and came over and grabbed me by the collar and pushed me up against the wall and said "A friend of mines mother just had a miscarriage and you make jokes about eating babies?!" Oh how much of a joy it was to tell that b*st*rd how my mother had a miscarrige a few years before so if anyone has the right to make those kind of jokes it was me.
The truth is that he didn't like me, a feeling that was mutual. He picked on something I said to attack me, not because he found it offensive, but because he finaly thought he had an excuse.

I had a miscarriage, GodBen. I have more right than you to joke about it but I'd never carry on the way you did (and still do).
It's such a shame h2g2 doesn't have an Ignore function. And my calling you an idiot is justified. I'd advise you to re-read your posts but I don't think there's much point.
Erm...

How about we focus on Footbacon and brother for a while?
Any improvement for brother? Has he made a statement to the police?
