'Should I stay, or should I go now?'

Something has changed in HooToo, or in me. I don't know what it is, but I currently feel like a complete outsider . A Stranger in a Strange Land. I feel invisable and disconnected.

It's probably me... It is that time of year, after all... The Festering season... forced bon homie... That period of Excessmas. I really don't know. I am currently feeling very sensitive, delicate and precious . The slightest thing could send me into a or ... So maybe a good time to rest .

Temporarily or permanently, I do not know...It hurts terribly, after 6 years being online... Many of my old friends have gone, or are drifting away... Also I feel unable to post to threads without being a cyber-killer or a complete Nebbish ... a grey ghost who is unseen. When I do post they seem to very quickly. It is disheartening.

Anyway, I am now thinking of taking a backseat... The eyes are out ... something I have NEVER done in 6 years... I shall just work on my outstanding entries, and maintain the TG until I get my head around what I am doing so terribly wrong on HooToo...

to be so The Black Dog has been very hungry and wants his pound of flesh, and knows where to get it...

I really hope it is not Au revoir but more Manana...

Hope you don't give up on the site, MMF. Unfortunately, things in life do change, including h2g2. We can't control many of the things that happen around us. All we can control is how we react to the circumstances life puts in our path. I suspect you're right that the season is making things seem a bit much. Hang in there. A lot of people here would be very sad to see you leave.

I'm still here, and available by text and email. I really hope you can make the next Hull meet, I'll try and plan it on a weekend you're free

You sound as if the Black Dog is really making a meal of you my friend. Kick him up the backside sharpish please I think the time of year is getting to you sunshine, it does me too.

You have loads of friends on here and would be very much missed, but you know it goes quiet for all of us at this time as people have less time for being online when RL is so busy.

You are not an outsider, and I for one would miss you, so take a break if you must, but pop in whenever you feel up to it, and say hello. My thread will always welcome you and so will many others. You have my email if you want to unload anything you can't say here.

Use your energy to concentrate on the things that really matter - such as earning a living - and don't worry too much about anything else.

I just noticed your tag, MMF and was a more than a little concerned. We don't talk, I know, but I lurk in and post in a variety of the same threads as you.

I do this regularly, MMF. I unsubscribe from all conversations in disgust, then I wonder why people won't talk to me.

Join in the conversations, and talk about whatever everyone else is talking about.

MMF, I've been going through a depressive phase, so I can relate! I'm ready for springtime and sunshine, even though winter is barely under way. My sister suggested I increase my vitamin intake, and try and get some sun despite the cold weather. I hate it as well when I post a good post and it gets overlooked. So can sympathize there as well. But hootoo needs interesting folks like you to stick around! Hope you will stay.

I can agree that hootoo has changed over the years, but so have I. is still an option, which I use quite a lot, especially since RL takes away a lot of my cyber time.

Friends, I thank you for your support, friendship and best wishes.

I always find it hard at this time of year but I've been hit really hard for some reason.

So many things happening, financially, health-wise. At least I had a Fillip with my first ever entry, and I'm working on another Kew Gardens based entry, and listening to uplifting at the same time... And not a Carol in sight... Oh! I lied. Mediaeval Babes - Coventry carol and Adeste fideles...

I will pop in occasionally, as I have to check links to my entry, but please do not get upset if my posts are one-liners or I appear to be unresponsive. I have to concentrate so hard on what I write, and most posts will have been written more than once.

I just feel such a wimp knowing what others are currently going through.

When I'm feeling like this I cannot see the leaves, let alone the wood, for the trees, and the glass is neither half full or half empty, because I just smashed it in temper!

Just keep faith in that the RSPCA will be pursuing me for diabolical the abuse I am going to mete out on an alleged defenseless black dog! and keep your available to bail me out of prison!!!
