God damn. For the last few days I have been suffering with acute tonsillitis. Now I had tonsillistis as a kid and whilst I remember it being a bit rough I certainly did not remember anything like this.

First off I have not been able to sleep since last thursday so I am totally exhausted, secondly I am finding eating virtually impossible, a situation whihc is presumably only exaserbating and elongating this condition.

It feels that me tonsils have been replaced with two ultra sensitive golf balls covered in hornet stings.

I could live with the pain if only I oculd sleep at night. Man this sucks....

Sorry to hear you are so bad FB.

Try downing half a bottle of scotch ( or perhaps a third ) before going to bed - it might kill the sensation for an hour or two's kip.

Doc said my tonsils were gigantic and it ias no wonder I was in so much pain. He wants me to come and talk to him about them when I am better.... sounds ominous.

Got strong penicillin, hopefully I will start feeling at the very least a placebo effect later on today!

This is the third time in 18 monthas I have had tonsillitis but never like this. I think my doc is kinda concerned at the severity of this outbreak.

Still owuldn't give me any valium to help me sleep though....

Had mine whipped out at 7 (my brother had his down when he was 3) I can't say it's done me any harm. and I feel soooo much better without them.

hmmmm wish I had had mine out as a nipper.

Feeling really poor now....

Well the penicillin is really starting to kick in now and the swelling is going down. I might actually be able to eat some proper food tomorrow.

Becuase I am a weird combo of a savage hypochondriac and a chap. So wherever there is nothing wrong with me I will rush to the docs at the drop of a hat. Whenever I actually am ill though I always seem to put it off for a few days.

Seems stupid now, two days of the drugs and I am almost better, I oculd have saved 2-3 days of hellish suffering. Oh well.
