Got a call from mum today, from the hospital.
I drove her there last Wednesday, before Christmas. Her liver values where out of order. She has gotten increasingly yellow since. A tomography revealed something on the pancreas.
She was crying on the phone. She's 58. She said she had seen the doctor, and she has everything from 3 weeks to a year left. Tops. It's not just on the pancreas, but also on the liver. Just got back om after visiting her with my sister, who is 22. We had a good cry to start with, but we left quite a few guffaws. She has decided to no have any chemo therapy, which will just prolong and increase the pain in the journey to the end. The result will be the same, so why wait. I support her whole heartedly in that decision.
So we're going to make the best of the time that is left. She has been is, and always will be, the greatest of mums.

I'm so sorry to hear your news. Is it just you and your sister or do you have any other family?
I'll be thinking of you over the coming days and weeks.
I'm glad you could have some guffaws with her.

Erm. Hi. Sorry to barge in, I put you on my Friends list long ago, because of the Continuum site...
Anyway.
I'm sorry to hear about your mum , do take care, and spend time together when you can. My friend went through a similar thing not too long ago.
