It seems it isd forbidden to write the N a z i word. I replied to a thread on Ask about stereotypes. The automated filter immediately removed it and I got an email with the usual general stuff.
All this happened once again withing seconds of me posting. I do NOT think it was yikesed. I do NOT think a moderator has so much as seen that post.
Somebody said the other day the moderation system isn't automated.
If oit isn't, and a mod has actually read and removed my post, I think we should collect for a dictionary fro them, so they can look up what 'stereotype' means.

That is bizarre.
It brings up a question Elektra and I were discussing only yesterday - the use of that word.
But isn't context the issue?
I wouldn't say that that word is as harmless as stripedy cats, but still...

I have replied to the email, but I don't think anything is going to happen. Yes, you'd think context is everything, but the word must be on the black list (it is surprising that my post wasn't blocked straight away, though).

The K-word is also blocked (ie the second half of Sauerkraut).
I discovered this when I tried to copy and paste a quote from Victoria Coren from one of her Balderdash and Piffle books (a BBC series)

While I find "grammar-n-word" one of the most ridiculous terms on the internet, surely there's also the possibility that people want to discuss history, or, as it were, stereotypes?

Of course one might want to speak about history! Imagine someone wrote an entry here about the second world war and everything that lead up to it ... how in heck could it be possible if one can't use the term n a z i ???

We're also apparently not allowed to use mild words for poo.
At least we don't have to deal with this ridiculous system for much longer. But having seen the "stereotypes" thread, removing the post was way OTT.

Well, since a few people used the N word in that stereotypes thread, one can only suppose that a moderator did indeed read it, but that although they know what a N@zi is, they don't know what a stereotype is. The mind boggles.

I think it can be a "buy one get one free" if you have it with a lunch.
