an entry of mine is being re-featured among the 'top three' on the FP.
It even got a new comment.
Another entry of mine made a second appearance on the FP (under the 'Talk to the h2g2 Community Now' header) a few weeks ago - and that got a new comment, too.
I've always been in favour of having older entries on the FP together with new ones, and to all of you who want only new entries on the FP I say: having one of your older entries on the FP once again is just as exciting as having a new one on there.

Thanks, Hoggy.
I don't expect this to happen again any time soon (if at all), but it's very nice it happened today.

You should buy a new one. I've had a newer model for a couple of years now, with two safety valves, which means I couldn't force it to open even if I tried as long as there's still pressure. I don't need to press down the valve with a wooden spoon any more, there's a mechanism in the handle now:

Congratulations B'El...
I will try to remember to take a look at your work...it really must be worthy to have been selected to appear twice!!!

Congratulations. An essential bit of kit in places like SanĂ¢a (3,000m +) where takes hours to cook anything, but we use them all the time, it saves a huge amount of time and (in our case) gas. Also - when used properly - the veggies taste better.
Well that's my opinion.

Thanks all.
I'm not living at high altitudes, but I still wouldn't want to be without my pressure cooker. It saves time and energy, and it saves vitamins.

Yes, I'm thinking of opening a vitamin account and saving vitamins. What's the interest rate at the moment?

Yes, it's definitely a good idea to give older Entries a space on the FP, too, rather than leaving them in storage until someone specifically searches for them.

It's a good way to get the older entries refreshed. People post to EF with mistakes, and others post to conversations, as they did here. I hope they keep the feature on the new FP.

My grandmother was forgetful, and would forget to turn down the pressure cooker until the little floating thingy flew off and hit the ceiling of the farmhouse kitchen...
Thanks for the memory.

Thanks all, for the wishes and shared memories.
The only thing I remember from my mum's pressure cooker is, that the hissing of the steam once scared me that much that I hid in the larder, screaming.

I think we should do some research into old entries as anniversaries and events occur. It might spark off tangential entries or even encourage people to write updates.

If you find entries for anniversaries, you can suggest them to be included in the h2g2 calendar.

I wonder if we have anything on space travel, the moon, nasa etc?
Sporting events are obvious candidates.
Recessions - now there's a big topic as well as how to survive one.
