I've always been allergic and asthmatic, too, but have nearly always had at least one cat around. Thank goodness for good meds- as long as I don't do litter box duty, I'm fine. The pee makes me a bit too wheezy.

If anyone was ever able to actually write in the dust on my furniture, it'd be time to try a cleaning service again. We tried this once, when I found a really reasonably priced service (only $50 a week!). Unfortunately, I had to follow behind and put things back the way they are supposed to be, and to touch up a few things, and before you know it my beloved told me since I'd just gone behind and done it all myself, there wasn't any need for a cleaning service...

friend of mine had a cleaning woman. she was very efficient. and cheap. until one day they opened their liquor cabinet...

One more reason I'm glad we don't have a liquor cabinet.

We actually had the cleaning woman there while we were home- I would never want anyone in my home when I wasn't there. Who knows what would turn up missing.

How disappointing for your friend- I presume they cancelled her contract when they found out.
