you must have been really lost to end up in my user-journal - it's a line from a suede song that i can't get out of my head - so nothing particularly exciting i'm afraid Wow Ginger and Doug Wow - that's just amazing, well not that surprising, but still

Killing Of A Flash Band
Slug Posted Sep 17, 1999
How depressing. "She's In Fashion" has brought to my attention just what a horrible mean-spirited little person I am. After spending more money than I'd like to think on Suede paraphenalia over the last 6 years (right down to tinny bootlegs from scratchy dictaphones) they finally deilver a popular, summery hit in New Zealand.
And I hate them for it.
Don't get me wrong; I like the song. Not their best, but sans-Bernard it's par for the course. It's just that the other week Fransesca Rudkin (or more accurately her nose) was talking aboput how great it was, and even those imbeciles at Channel Z have given The Offspring a rest to play it. Not fair! My band! Mine!
This must be what it's like when your private underground opium den suddenly gets turned into a Burger King, complete with True Bliss instore appearances. Urrgh.
Oh well. At least there's still Mansun. No one will ever like them...
