We have an Image Library!!!! A working one!
It's still a little messy, but this should make things a lot easier for the Eds.

It's in the leopard, not properly tested yet but initial tests went without a hitch

Currently it will take an image under 2MB and resize it down to 400px along its longest side.
It does not currently do cropping, rotation, etc. But it does keep it as near to lossless in the compression as it can.

I always set them to have less than 100kb and for a zize of 400x300 that's absolutely ok.

Does this mean that we will now be unable to load pictures larger than 400x300?
I ask because this will seriously impact a whole two people in the Post...
Oh, and banners.

there are rumours that Anarchy Gordon may be coming back, and that wouldn't work in 400x300.
Seriously, though, I think it's better if we do the resizing (and optimising) separately from the upload.
