The easter is hiding the eggs, like hailstones so big . . .
Have to replace the glass of one of the sliding doors to the terrace, seems like it is always snowing when I work on these doors

I found that I'd failed to post an email address at "About Me", now updated, but not time enough to finish there yet. [email protected]
The wind whistling through the crevice between door and jamb.... I've always had a taste for wild and boisterous weather, but never have liked it when it follows me indoors.

I'm not really here Posted Mar 23, 2008
I took a photo of the garden yesterday, when it was hailing. Loads of little balls all over the place. Ohh, if only they'd been cola pips.

I remember once when I was a kid in Southwest Oklahoma we had a hail storm like that, shoveled it up and used it to make home made ice cream.

The traditional wild west method for making ice cream, back in the days before motorized transport, electricity and industrial freezers, involved mixing ice and rock salt in a 12 gallon wash tub to supply the cold while turning a hand cranked mixer in the tub with the ice cream mix inside until it froze and one couldn't turn it any longer made about a quart at a time. Very laborious. With a heap of hail stones 1 - 2 inches in diameter piled up against the side of the house, seemed like an amusing stunt at the time and it was hot again before the end of the day.
