And there was something about 'Lady Scott' going to meet 'Clive the flying Ostrich'.
And you could be voting for 'Lady Scott'.

I wonder who is going to win?

If anyone else would like to vote for Lady Scott; go to F19585?thread=134823.
3 days ago she had no votes, despite trying for ages. If she manages to take over the long term leaders, it will be a marvel..

"This should be enough sun salt and sea to survive another year.

Any volunteers to help John Ridgway to get The English Rose V1 out of the water onto it's winter cradle? Apparently some experience in getting a ship out of the water is required, and it would be handy if you live in the north of Scotland. "

I wish... the biggest boat I've ever gotten out of the water has been a little dixie-cup sized zodiac!

I also wish I could afford tickets to Scotland...

Traveller in Time smiley - tit on a local ramp
"Well, my brother lives on a ship just next to some old fashioned shipjards.
I assisted some years ago getting the 'Amazon' (42 meter 1904 build sailing cargo ship) up the ramp. But I guess this is somthing completely different. And a little far to Ardmore on bicycle.

30th August until 2nd September (and again every 29.53 days later) there is spring tide. This should help lifting the yacht a bit, and perhaps also to get it in position to lift it."
