With a bit of luck, this won't actually apply.... but just in case
I am getting Broardband on Monday 4th July.
Now, to the techies, this will appear to be a piece of cake, but to klutzes like what I am, it is a gargantuan task, because it seems that every time I do anything ambitious with my PC - like turning the damned thing on, for example - it has a propensity to cough, splutter and crash.
And no matter how much the lads tell me Broard Band is easy, I am at a bit of a loss as to how in hell I'll GET Broardband, because, so far anyway, I haven't received my free magic modem to hammer into the guts of the machine (see? I know ALL the technical terms).
I have a funny feeling that during the transision period the computor will throw a tantrum and I'll be grappling with the complexities of bump starting it back into action for a few days
So if I'm not around for the next few days, it's nothing personal, it's simply that I'll be fighting a losing battle with technology for a bit, that's all.
Bring back barter, is all I can say!

Tis a good place to go - especially in company.....
(I went there with Wendy, this morning, funnilly enough and I thought of you, then!)
because whoever you go with can carry out the shelving you've just bought to install yet another shelf in the bath room.
I'm going to HAVE to move out, soon, S'hhh; I'm running out of walls to screw shelves onto!
That, or try and persuade the lads they really DON'T need all that grooming gear they insist on having. Honestly, it looks like the men's dept in Boots in that bathroom....

You're more accurate than you'd realise!
Trouble is... there's absolutely NO room whatsoever for any books......

I remember it as slightly challenged on the wall space side
Maybe thats my word of the day.................challenged.... we'll see
I spect they're buying in hair gel by the ton - wonder what happened to Brycream - same type of stuff eh!

Hair gubbins, in the red and white pot - my dad used to get thru tons of it! I can't remember how to spell it either, but it smelt soapy and felt nasty after a few weeks.
Yes, there's a shop load of hair wax, hair gel, hair putty, and they're only the stuff I can remember... there's pre shave, during shave and moisturiser for after the shave. There's several different propriety brand razors - the expensive end of the market (no Bics for MY lads), there's deodrants and body sprays and cologne and shower gels
But funnilly enough... no flannels, and no combs!
H'mmm... what is wrong with this picture?

think you're gonna have to have a word there! What on earth is hair putty?
Mind you with what little I've got left it wouldn't matter anyway

Hair putty's odd stuff.
It's white, and looks like cold cream until you rub it on your hands and scruggle your hair around - then it goes sort of fib-ery, and helps keep your hairy sort of ruffled and spikey looking.
Once it's in your hair, it feels... well, you know my propensity for "natural"... it feels a bit cumbersome for about 5 minutes... and then after that, the hair feels "normal".
Even I use it on accasions, when I want the Zoe Wannamakker look.
(Lasts all of 10 minutes on me, though, because no hair preparation lasts any longer with me. Stubborn owner = stubborn hair, I guess!)
I've told you before about not having that much hair - it's all them there brains fizzling around inside burning it off. Consider it a tribute to brainwork and you wouldn't be so worried about it!
Having said that, I had a number 1 cut all over in Eire once (shoulder length to zilch in 30 minutes - I'd had a row with the lad's da!) and I felt I looked pretty good - especially with the little pigtail in the red ribbon at the nape of my neck!
I have had a word with the boys...
they asked "whats a flannel?"
I sort of gave up then....

So hair putty is about the same a goose grease then that explains it
Not sure about brains - doesn't Mr Brain make faggotts or summat
If they don't know what a flannel is.........................no you're right - give up

Lucky old Mr Brain, making faggots! *He'll* never be lonely of a Saturday night, then, eh?
You're right... there are some things kids just have to learn for themselves... although, having said that, you would NOT believe the number of sponges, scrubby things with bits of string (think they're called Scrunchies...) on them, pumice stones and loofahs the little dear seem to need in order to function.
However...
I do have to admit to having a fine crop of stuff I made during last year's abortive attempt to corner the holistic Bubble bath market.
I can safely say I'm the cleanest pauper in Herne Bay!
