H'mmm I think, on reflection, I'd sooner be rich and dirty, meself.
After all, you can always pay for someone to give you a bath, then!

I am *not* even going to *attempt* singing the whole song over the ether!
(although now, that's going to riffle thru the braincell for the rest of the day, because I rather like that one)

Insomnia's that bad, huh?
I've moved onto "What a Swell Party This Is" from High Society - it's a swine trying to sing in harmony with oneself!

Somehow I've arrived at some Oklahoma stuff - pictures of leather clad female pretending to be butch and thigh slapping Whip crack away - it's driving me mad as I can't stand the music

"Just got in from the Windy City, the windy city ia might-t-y- pretty, but it ain't got what *we* got... no siree!"
What did the windy city not have that *they* had, anyway?
It's a daft song, anyway!
Leather clad females slapping their thighs?
It's a bit different to the version *I* remember when I was a little girl!

Ah... a conundrum in an enigma wrapped up in a riddle, eh?
I wondered what thigh slapping cowgirls were doing in Chigao.....
but I didn't like to ask

Thinking about it - all her films with Rod whatsit were a bit bizare wern't they - no realism anywhere!

Rock Hudson, weren't it?
Course there weren't - added to which, her co star (if its the guy I think it was) was gay - and she, bless her, much married and unhappy.(Not surprisingly, really - the charactor Calamity Jane... the one she portrayed in that film you're still humming(sorry> was, in real life an Amaphrodite.
Honest.
True as far as I know... hence the name.... naturally.
They don't tell you THAT in the fillum, do they?
Those awful old 1950s fillums were purely romantic nonsense - but the trouble is... as kids you actually BELIEVED no-one ever went to the bathroom or anything in "real"(screen) life, because they were the reality we were fed, then!
OK... that last comment was purely subjective, but you know what I mean!

and even if they did go to the loo - they NEVER came out again saying......................"I wouldn't go in there for a while if I were you"
Very "un-real"

Lets not even go NEAR the punative song titles that little scenario conjures up - please!
Fillum stars only ever showered when I was a kid....
but did you notice?
They never got their hair wet or unruffled. And they never got blotchy when the shower ran too hot, either, now I think about it....

Very true - got it a bit red at times when Hitchcock was involved - but that was about it!
