Sign me up please! Definitely want to be identified among my fellow hose-heads.
You know I didn't even know the term hose-heads till I started reading forum comments about what Americans think Canada is like? Pretty hilarious stuff.
Anyhoo, I'm Spirea Yucca from Mississauga Ontario!

Actually, I've updated it already. You're on the list.
I hope you'll feel free to jump into some conversations. The main generically Canadian thread is, of course, the Chief Gordon Lightfoot one, currently largely occupied with chocolate, beverages, prorogation, the Haitian earthquake, Afghanistan and the arrival of a new Canadian.

Can I sign up please, I have no tie's to Canada (other than my dad was frozen in Halifax harbour in the winter of '59 while in the Merchant Navy!) and I want to emigrate to Nova Scotia

Not that it's a condition of signing up (I'm not sure that there are any conditions), are you really planning to come to Nova Scotia?

My wife and I and the tribe went to an Emigrate show in Glasgow last weekend (we both suffer from itchy feet syndrome) and started talking to one of the people on the stall for NS. Its only 5.5 hours from the UK (if we need to get home quickly), the whole lifestyle seems better than here.
Much as I love Scotland, this country (UK as a whole) is being screwed sytematically by the government and we want a change, a nice place to bring our children up.
Canada offers this opprtunity

I will, unfortunately found out last night that the 38 trades you can use for federal entry are being reduced in the next 2-6 weeks so that may very well scupper things

If I get offered a job, that'll make things easier, apllied for a couple already....
