Hey, how come nobody ever told me about this place?
Can I join?
If so, should I have where I was born (Winnipeg, Manitoba) next to my name or where I live now (Seville, Spain)?

hi anhaga,
Yes, I was on that thread for awhile when I first joined hootoo a couple of years ago. I recall making an unintentional faux pas, referring lightheartedly to 'our Indians' and got kind of jumped on, so thought it best to unsub.
Perhaps I should resub now that my hootoo skin is a bit thicker?

No, it wasn't you! In fact, it was someone saying something like - 'oh, good thing anhaga isn't here to see this!'
Well, okay then, since you ask so nicely . . . *resubs*

I say, I'm a sort of honorary Canadian, having never lived there, but I am a citizen and all my family lives in BC and Alberta. Can I join?

Would you like to include a location? (country is fine if you don't want to be more precise. And there is some precedent for specifying no location)

California. The southern region. Don't think I wouldn't like to get out of here if I could though; it's so *hot* all year round!
