42 what?
Barbara and the Desert Rats Started conversation Apr 25, 2003
I have noticed that all over this place references concerning a certain number are thrown at the innocent surfer.
Not sure what all this is, I quickly found out that all researcher's number are supposed to be able to make the number 42, so well there I thought was the perfect opportunity to prove that NOT all number can form 42, meaning mine.
Unfortunately I think it took me less than 30 seconds to find 42. of all the numbers they could give me! They didn't even give me any hope of disproving it!
Anyway here it is: Number 225008 -> (5 x 8)+ 2 + (2 x 0) = 42
42 what?

I thought that the numbers were supposed to be kept in order?
If not, (5 x 8)+ 2 + (2 x 0) = 42 works great!
Otherwise, you can try:
2 x 2^0 + (( 5 + 0 + 0 ) x 8 ) = 42
Of course you have to write 'two to the zero power' with a superior '0'. I don't think that powers count unless you want them to.
If they do:
2 + 2^5 + 0 + 0 + 8 = 42
