US Ground troops appear to be moving into the region, news is coming in that several US helicopter gunships are currently in the area, but seem to be unwilling to approach the area due to a strange, blue, cylindrical object moving around the area at high speed, which appears to be some kind of new anti-aircraft weapon.

Several small fluffy creatures have been seen digging defensive trenches around the borders... (or could they be rabbit holes) - this looks like it could be a long, drawn-out conflict.

On the political front, the US has told Postman Pat that "he should keep his nose out of things that don't concern him" and have added that should his red armoured vehicle be spotted in the vicinity of the war zone it would be considered a legitimate target and might be attacked without further warning.

As a children's cartoon character myself I am feeling distinctly uneasy about the turn that events are taking. Does Groliffe the ice dragon count as a WMD? Why has Nogbad the Bad been seen at the Whitehouse? Does Shrub count my great log fire as a personal threat?
