Smudger879n Posted Apr 4, 2005
WoW! that was fast!!
Have you noticed how much the prices are dropping on these lap-top computers? reckon Im having one of them soon, so Mk2 cant nip my head for being in another room on my PC
BTW, Have a look in the papers, you can get a brand new monitor Flat screen thin type, for less that £150 and they are also coming down in price They used to a lot more than that, so shop around

Wow! I had to duck there!
Serenity, I always thought it was the speed of your internet connection that controlled the speed of you PC on line?
Or am I missing something here
As you already know Im getting a free upgrade up to 512Kps in May!so that should speed this one up a bit
Theres a cold wind blowing up here in Scotalnd today I tried sitting out in the summer house for a while, just to contiplate on things, but it was too cold
So I came back in to contiplate
Trying to think up my next Snippet? but I think Ive covered all my past life now

Yep! there are acouple of wee s out in the summer house, but they dont bother me, so I wont bother them
If your computer does what you need it for, then its .
Its when you start using it for many other things that you have to worry about upgrading it! Its a catch 22, the more programs you use & need, then the more "updates" you have to D/Load in order for them to work properly

mornin all.
smudger.
some days i put the pc on and its quite fast at doing what is asked of it.. some days, its as if its too much trouble and it takes ages to go from one thing to another.
i couldnt get into my yahoo mails for a week and im having trouble with the graphics on msn mails. but i dont know if its the programmes or my pc.
its a catch 22 situation.. and other than getting the lastest top of the range, go faster pc.... and that only lasts until they make something even bigger.. you cant keep up..
sheryl.
i dont mind spiders in my house. i just let them run free, which is a pain when they race across the carpet

Have you tried clearing your drive Serenity, by using Window Washer or Ccleaner? You can D?load them free from the net!
Coz if your drive gets full of TIF (tempory internet files)it will run slow
Try using your maintenance tools,= Defrag ect
also get rid of any files you dont need or use, that will help as well
Apart from that, look for a better one! There are always folk selling them in the paper Adverts, for sale section!

Ah! Shifty
Looks like youve been reading the small print in the posts
Sereniity, Just type Ccleaner into Google and it will take it right to it
Also have a look in PC shops where you can buy extra memory (RAM)I bought mine on Ebay for £17, it costs £28 in the shops. That really helped to speed up my PC
It all depends on what you need your PC for really, if you need to upgrade it can be cheaper that buying a new PC
