This entry is the first chapter of a book which, currently, boasts fourteen more. The voyage itself is merely a "thread" upon which I hang other stories, opinions, real life memories, etc. I did not set out to write a "Sailing Book". I've read hundreds of those and, with a few honourable exceptions, they are tedious. I hope you smile, learn a little and glimpse a different perspective.

This isn't remotely tedious. I couldn't stop reading once I started. It made me laugh, made me feel sea-sick, filled me with envy. Wonderful story. Thank you

Well, both I suppose. I'm looking for feedback; I need some measure of the commercial value of the piece. If anyone wants to use it, I'm flattered.

I don't want to keep on writing the same stuff if it's rubbish and a hard headed editor or literary agent's going to tell me to stop bothering him with this carp. I'll be strong; you can tell me the harsh truth.

Wouldn't this be more suitable for Writing-Alternative where you can put anything like poems stories and anything else like that but as Lil said PeerReview is for factual information.

Yes, I'd suggest you move this to the Alternative Writing Workshop too Steve

It's easy to do.

Go to PeerReview

Find you Entry in the list.

Click on the little x next to it.

This removes it from Peer Review.

Now go back to your Entry.

Click on Submit for Review.

A drop down list of choices appears, choose the Alternative Writing Workshop, then submit.

Once in there, you'll have many of the fiction writers on hootoo reading your piece, and it may even be selected for inclusion in the <./>UnderGuide</.> too

Have a little faith you should get some comments you just need to find an appriorate space for the work.

As it is such a good peice of writing it could do weii as a post article and published as monthly articles.

Approach the Post Team and submit the first part for consideration. Acceptance is a mark of excellence in its own right and the comments will forthcoming dont worry about that.

I thought it would make a brilliant addition to too Bob.

I would say good luck but I dont think you will need luck with a peice as good as this.
