I don't really get asked why I am depressed... I don't what my answer would be if were asked...

My ex isn't a part of my life anymore. I'm not really going out into the real world and meeting people at the mo. I enjoyed myself in Bristol the other week... I hope to enjoy myself at the SummerMeet... but that's it for now as far as having a real social life goes... There are and have been people that I have liked since my ex but no-one I feel a deep and passionate love for. It's hard for me to see myself loving anyone that much again and even harder for me to imagine anyone loving me.

Aaw baby... i can understand that you cant imagine loving another person that much again, but you need to let people close to you. There will be some one else, and trust me, they will love you as much as you love them, and you neednt worry about that. Atleast, thats what i believe... look at my soulmate theory if i've put it up by the time you read this.

I know now that what i felt for my ex wasn't love but fear. Thanks to him, I have very little confidence about myself, and i'm convinced of alot of horrible things about myself. My emoptions are so mixed up Im not sure id recognise love if i fell into it. And like i never run from a situation coz i dont recognise the danger. Im sure in time the hurt will fade....

I do want to let people close to me... but there are reasons why I simply can't overcome the part of me that pushes people away when I feel they are getting too close or when I feel I'm starting to need them... I just have this huge conflict...
I run before there's a chance of being hurt...

I know what you mean, coz I've felt the same myself. I forced myself to do what it was, no matter how horrible. It sounds like a small thing, but after my ex I couldn't even kiss other people and it took alot for me to build up the strength to even do that. Even now i have difficulty with it. There's no simple answer either. I really hope that their comes a point for you soon, where its not so difficult.
