OK, it's been a while since I've submitted anything. . .
Anyway, I know I want to beef up (heh heh) the intro some.
But are there other chefs out there whom I should include.
Also, I am a notoriously poor speller. . .

Alton's Good Eats is a pretty solid show, and he has a cookbook out, but I'm not sure he's accomplished enough YET.
I've also left out Justin Wilson and Jeff Smith, but they were on the fence. . .

Under the Bobby Flay section, how about including that he was the first American chef to be featured on "The Iron Chef", and the controversy at the end of the match.

There's even an Iron Chef entry to link to (which I'll be updating when I get around to it )
I think you should make one change in Julia's section - she wasn't 'Mrs Child' when she was born... what was her maiden name? And a typo - it's 'receive' not 'recieve'

OK, I linked to the Iron Chef, both h2g2 and the specific episode recap on the iron chef website.
I fixed the "received".
Also the 'Mrs. Child was born already married' bit; nice catch I didn't read that funny at all, but you're totally right!
Keep the comments comin'!
Thanks folks,

I'd like to see a few more names in the entry - there must be more than four worthy of mention, but I must admit that I can't help you with that one
If the entry was about British tv chefs I reckon there'd be trouble whittling it down just a dozen, and fisticuffs between Researchers wanting their favourite to be included! Surely there are some more American chefs that can go in

Have to say that was my thought as well, though you could always change the title to "great american TV chefs"!

That would be a way around it, but I think you'd have to lose Bobby Flay in the process.

Love her or hate her, I guess she ought to be in there, especially as Julia was gracious enough to have her as a guest on Baking With Julia

OK, it looks like the concensus is that I ned more chefs so I'll add the following:
Martha Stewart (she's hardly a chef, but I totally agree that she *plays on on TV*)
Jeff Smith, the frugal gourmet
anyway, I'll work on this soon and let y'all know when I've added material.
Thanks for the input!

I have doubts Martha Stewart ever really existed. Looks more like a robot, computer graphics and a brand name. But that's just me being crazy.

I lumped Martha and Jeff Smith together. Basically my original issue with them is that they aren't actually CHEFS.
They can cook, but that's really a different thing. . .
I mean somebody might be pretty bright and have watched a lot of TV medicine shows, but that doesn't make them a doctor.
Anyway, I added a little catergory for them, and I tagged on a blip at the end.
I'm not sure about the ending.
