Hi wedge,
You certainly made light work of getting your space jazzed up.
Lifesigns - never heard of them. Is that something you are involved in as a volunteer? or just appreciate the necessity of such guys.
Well, i am away to do my chores but i am sure to pop back soon (cos i am a saddo and prefer being on h2g2 to the rest of the world (RL)
Speak soon
Mort

Hello there Mort, nice of you to pop back, yeah, well, I've done nothing out of the ordinary here, I usually like to do a bespoke design, but I quickly wacked up some GuideML and h2g2 images, seemed fair enough really!
I can't believe that you're aware of SI (yes, I visited your Space)!
Small world. Actually, Casie lives in Scotland, and she's v good about SIA (see www.mentalhealthintheuk.co.uk ). LifESIGNS is a very young org, I just happen to be the Founding Director, we're running on a budget of £9.26, so we're doing rather well considering!

Hi Wedge,
I usually dont visit back to people i have ACE'd for 3 or 4 weeks but i saw that you had added me to friends list so came to see who you were! People often do add me cos i ACE'd them and can get help quickly if needed and i dont mind plus i am a terrible snoop.
If you add the following code onto your space between and at the end of the text box it will show you who has added you to their list.
Also - just to warn you ... any new journal entries I add to my page will automatically appear on your page. As will any new discussions left on my page. You can unsubscribe from notifications in the usual way (click on the option under my personal info bit) just as you would from any page if you dont want them. It keeps upsetting the newbies when they get strange conversations they weren't involved in suddenly appear on their page!
(always feel i have to explain that as it freaked me for a while too!)
Ok technical bit over!
Everything is open on h2g2, anyone can read any conversation even if they are not involved in it so i am always careful what i put bearing in mind anyone can read it.
A whole £9.26 wow, can you cope with so much cash? I havent had a full look through the site but will do later. I will add it to the links page on my msn group too if thats ok with you.(you could ask Marvin U215421 to add it to his page - along with the rest of links!!)
You are right about it being a small world. It i have run into 2 people now that have SI links when acing and others just from being around, i guess like you, they visit my page and see about the group.
and make themselves very subtly known (again due to the openness of the site)
I have been aware of self harm for many years (17).
Recently I have been concentrating on trying to help - hence my little friendly support group (53 members) but as i have Borderline it gets a bit much sometimes.
And being on h2g2 helps as i can just totally forget about the real world and i dont have to go out!
What brought you to this site - was it just in passing or are you a fan of Douglas Adams?
Crikey at this rate i will get into the longest postings list ( <./>info</.> has all the current statistics )

Yes, I didn't add you to my friends coz of your ACEship, but because of your 'interetsing' personal space :o)
Thanks for the cool code, I shall add it now.
Thanks, I'll message Marvin shortly, and yes, please link away to LifeSIGNS, we need all the coverage we can get! (We're doing quite well for fame, just need the fortune now!)
BPS must be a drag at times (hugs; do you do hugs? I don't), have you been diagnosed recently?? I ask, because, well, I'm sure you know, BPS is often diagnosed 'first', but um, could be something else. Sorry, I don't mean to rag on your Doctor, I say this to everyone I meet!
What brought me to h2g2? Oh I've been aware of h2g2 since the launch, and was shocked when BBC took it, ah well. I always said I didn't have time for 'closed groups', after all, I create dozens of sites, and I produce thousands and thousands of words all by myself, and Google.co.uk likes me a lot :o)
But, y'know, I do have time for a 'closed group', maybe it'll be nice and social? Maybe I cud git me some rizpect arund here?
So, I'm here, and haven't even created any entries, sigh!
Tell me, when do Crap 3 year old blank entries get deleted? All I can find when searching h2g2 is real real real dross.
Thank goodness for the Editors! I shall have to restrict myself to reading Reviewed Material!
Cheers
Wedge

Just wanted to let you know I was snooping. Actually was looking for some "relevant" conversations myself, looked at who was online and decided to go through the list of newbies. Really liked your page, and I also noticed your ACE has some darling tips (Like ).
I'm also newbie. Recently quit my job as a Web Pimp and lost a 50-mile (each way) commute .
search
Mort - a middle aged Girl Interrupted Posted Mar 9, 2003
you may have come across it already but the <./>search</.> option has a choice between searching for friends, conversation topics, guide entries (anything written on site) Recommended guide entries (those going through a peer review or are being edited at the mo) and Edited guide entries(entries deemed of a high enough quality or standard to go into the Official guide).
<./>frontpage</.>also has the 5 entries newly edited chosen as pick of the day, and <./>info</.> has the most recent guide entries listed.
But when you want something current on a particular topic it can be hard to find something. So i usually search for a conversation as i figure that if a decent article has been written on whatever i am interested in but i cant find it then someone will have started a conversation about it.
