Well, I had a post which basically said 'I don't want to argue with you, so I'm unsubscribing from here before you start getting obnoxious' sent to someone I know off site who I have a history with. Got removed. Woke up this morning to this reply to one of my entries:

"i am a resident on the valley estate in swinton and i do not appreciate being classified as a scallie and as for residents needing drugs and alcohol that is a load of bullshit. i have lived on the valley for 15 years and yeh i agree it has had a name in the past but now it seems to be an up and coming estate and it is true that half of the estate is now privatly owned, i include myself in that statement. just because the valley estate has had a name in the past it can not be justified that all residents can be tied with the same brush. as for the comment from worsley residents we are not jealous of you because you have money or nicer cars thats just your ego talking there, i actually work in worsley and for a couple who live there themselves. to be perfectly honest i have a fabulously paid job i own my own house i drive a gorgeous car and we p**s and shit exactly the same as you do so please take your heads from up your own arseholes and stop acting all high and mighty. at the end of the day the residents of worsley where ither born with a silver spoon in there mouth and never done a days work in there lives, then there's the ones that earned it (and i dont knock em good luck to em), and then theres the ones that started off life on a crappy council estate and got to where they are with honest hard graff but still makes out there lord and lady shit and need to realise where there roots are before they fall down to earth with a f*****g big bump. anyway just for the record i now everybody there is to know on the estate and they have nothing against worsley residents but ya not doing yourself any favours to be accepted as an equal neighbouring county. WHATS MONEY GOT TO DO WITH IT?"

Ok, he (or she) has censored some language, but not all and the whole post is an attack on me. Now there's a few things wrong.

1) I'm not from Worsely. I'm 5 minutes from the Valley estate in Swinton.
2) His basis for this argument is the fact I wrote the words "Swinton's Valley Estate is home to many dozens of scallies". Which is true. There are, however people on the Valley who aren't scallies (including my best mate), and unfortunately that's not clear.

But the discrepancies aren't the point, it's the fact that this is now tagged to an entry I'm immensely proud of (my first) and the Mods are happy to let it sit there.

I emailed them back to basically point out that it did contravene house rules and all I got back was something pointing out I'd not done any subbing for a while and I've got a week before they take me badge!

And I'm hungover and kipped on the couch
