I get promoted. It appears Karma absolutely hates that.

First my PC dies. It'll cost at least £50 to repair.
Then Laura's car breaks down, that'll cost her even more to repair, meaning she can't put money towards booking our first proper holiday.
Then Manchester United win the Champions League.
Then my xbox dies, meaning that I can't afford to put money towards our first proper holiday if I want to shell out the £180+ to replace it.

I swear, if Leeds lose to Doncaster on Sunday, I'll have to hand in my notice...

Might as well chin the boss so its not a total loss mate.

Ah well, c'est la vie.

That sucks- costly repairs always come along just when you've planned a nice trip or a treat for yourself, and demand that you put up all the money you'd planned to use for something else. Happens to me all the time, so I feel your pain.

Congrats again on the promotion, though.

It could be worse I guess, at least things are breaking at a time when I can afford to fix/replace them.
